You want to install an app and use it straight away, with no form. Such apps exist, and they have a price. Below: what “no registration” stands for, what an account gives you, and what you need to start with us.
In short. A VPN with no account at all exists — access there is tied to the device, and the servers are usually paid for by ads, limits or a paid plan on top. The price of such access: you cannot sign in from another phone, there is nothing to recover access with, and support can find neither you nor your payment. Mayak works differently: you need an account, but it takes a minute — the app creates it, the login is a nine-digit number, the app makes up the password, and no card is needed for the trial. A confirmed email opens the trial days. This is not anonymity: what we store is listed below.
We build Mayak — a private network. You do need an account with us, but you do not have to pay to try it, and we ask for no card. 3 days free once you confirm your email. The trial is free and needs no card; without an email it is 1 day.
🍎 On iPhone Mayak works through the third-party Happ app — with the subscription link from your account. Happ is not in the Russian App Store; there INCY (publisher LLC ITDEV) works instead, checked on 22 September 2026.
Is there a VPN with no registration at all
Yes. You install the app, press one button, and the connection comes up: no email, no password. Since the service does not know who you are, it recognises not a person but a device — by an identifier the app sends on its own. Everything else follows from that: what you lose, and where the service gets the money for its servers.
This is not an accusation, it is arithmetic. Servers and traffic cost money for everyone, and if there is no account there is no subscription on it. What remains is ads inside the app, a ceiling on volume or time, a paid plan offered later, or what the service knows about the device. Which of these a given app uses, we did not check — see “What we do not know”. But “what does it live on” is a question worth asking about any service, and we went through it in more detail in the paid-or-free article.
What “no registration” means: four cases
The same words describe different ways of holding access. It helps to tell them apart, because each has its own price.
- No account at all. Access rests on the device. Change the phone, reset it or reinstall the app — the service sees a new device and does not know it is yours.
- Signing in with someone else’s account — a messenger, an app store, an email service. There is no form, but there is a registration: you simply pass it with another sign-in, and your account at the service is tied to wherever you signed in from.
- An account without an email. The login is an issued number, the password a string of characters. This is registration, only a short one. We have this path too, more below.
- A key or a link instead of an account. There is no “registration” because the whole identity is the link itself: whoever holds it, uses it. A link must not be forwarded, just like a password; how this works we described in the article on subscriptions for Happ.
What someone without registration pays with
Four things that follow from the service not knowing whose access it is. They are consequences of the scheme itself, not our measurements of other apps.
- No sign-in from another device. The phone is lost or replaced — access stays on the old device or goes with it. There is nowhere to carry it: it has no owner.
- Nothing to recover with. There is nothing to forget, but there is also nothing to prove that the access is yours. If a paid period “got lost”, the service has nothing to find it by.
- Support cannot find you. “Money gone, no access” starts with the question of what name to search for. The name is an account number or an email; without them you are left describing the device.
- No shared plan across devices. The access on a phone and the access on a laptop have no common owner, and there is nothing to merge into one plan: nothing to attach it to.
And separately, about what having no registration does not give you. It does not make you invisible: the address you came from and the time of your requests to the server are seen by the service anyway — without them a connection cannot come up. We say this about ourselves too: in the section on storage.
What an account gives — and what it does not
It gives. One account for several of your devices: with us the number of seats depends on the plan, and the trial is also meant for two devices (how it is counted). Recovery: with the account number and password you sign in from a new phone, and a forgotten password is reset with a code sent to your email (help). Payment history and receipts in the cabinet. And support that finds you by number, not by description.
It does not give. An account is not a promise that everything will work on every network, and not a shield from the service seeing the technical traces of a connection. It only answers the question “whose access is this”.
How to start with Mayak: what you need and what you do not
The order from the help centre, in short:
- Install the Android app. You can download it without creating anything with us — the account is needed only after the install, on the first screen. Links to the store and to the file on our site are on the “Where to tap” page.
- Press “Create account”. The app makes up the password itself; you only confirm that you are human. The login becomes the account number — nine digits, shown large on the screen. Write down the number and the password.
- Confirm your email. Right now it is what opens the trial days: 3 of them, and until the email is confirmed there is no access. A confirmed email opens the full 3 days; until then the trial is 1 day, and attaching an email later brings it up to three. No card is asked for.
- Pick a country and press “Connect”. The first time, Android asks for permission to set up a protected connection — that is its usual question.
Phone number. In the sign-up form in the cabinet the phone number is an optional field; the hint under it says it is only for contact about a disputed payment and that access is not recovered through it.
An account without an email. Under the sign-up form in the cabinet there is a link “Create account without email” (in Russian: «Создать аккаунт без почты»): we issue an account number and you sign in with it. The price of this path is the one this whole article is about: this account has no trial days for now; a confirmed email opens them, and you can attach one later in the cabinet the trial is shorter — 1 day, and attaching an email later brings it up to the full three. The help centre warns about the main risk as well: an account without an email has two keys, the number and the password, and if you lose both there is nothing to bring it back with.
Through Telegram. The same account is sold by our bot: it issues the account number itself, and you do not have to register on the site. This account has no trial — a confirmed email opens it, and you can add one later in the cabinet.
An account is a minute, not a questionnaire. The app makes up the password, the login is the account number. We ask for no payment details for the trial. A confirmed email opens the access — 3 free days. The trial without an email is 1 day, with a confirmed one the full 3.
🍎 On iPhone Mayak works through the third-party Happ app — with the subscription link from your account. Happ is not in the Russian App Store; there INCY (publisher LLC ITDEV) works instead, checked on 22 September 2026.
What we store about an account
Only what our privacy policy says (edition of 11 October 2026). In short, without retelling the whole document:
- Account: the number and the password (the password only as a hash, we cannot see it in clear) and the email, if you gave one.
- Device: model, app version, the device and install identifiers — to tie the subscription to a device and to guard against abuse.
- Requests to our servers: address and time — to run the service and keep it safe; technical access logs and the app’s action log are kept for 90 days.
- Daily traffic volume — a byte counter only, with no site addresses and no app names; kept for 365 days (one year).
- Trial: a fingerprint of the email address and the date, so that the trial is not issued to one address twice. The email cannot be recovered from the fingerprint; it is kept for 180 days.
What is not on this list, by the same policy: we do not log the content of your traffic and do not track the sites and apps you visit. That is not a promise of “anonymity”: the address and the time of requests are, as you see above, stored.
What we checked
- The core’s answer about trial days. On 9 October 2026 we queried the public endpoint of our core that our site reads as well: the full trial is 3 days, the trial without an email is 0 days. That is why the sentences about trial days in this article come in two variants and follow the setting.
- The live cabinet. The same day the cabinet page carries the link “Create account without email”, and in the sign-up form the phone field is marked optional (from the page source).
- Help centre and policy. The account creation steps, recovery and the list of stored data come from the help centre and from the privacy policy of 21 September 2026, and we re-read both for this article.
What we do not know
- How other apps work. We did not go through anyone else’s sign-up or read anyone else’s policy, so we do not say what any particular app lives on. The article gives only the consequences of the “access with no account” scheme itself.
- How many people take the “short” path. How many accounts are created with us without an email and how they are used afterwards, we did not count for this article.
- The no-email path inside the app. The current version’s changelog says “email right at sign-up”. The help centre describes another path, and the cabinet has “account without email”; which exact screens the app will show you, we did not check live today.
- The no-email trial length. It is a setting and may change. We wrote the article so that the text follows it, but a month from now do not rely on today’s number.
Short answers
Is there a free VPN with no registration? There can be, but with no account access rests on the device, and something else pays for the servers: ads, limits or a paid plan ahead. With us only the trial is free, and it needs an account.
Can I use Mayak with no registration at all? No. An account is what makes the access yours: the app creates it, and you only confirm that you are human.
Do I need a card? Not for the trial. We do not ask for payment details.
Do I need a phone number? In the sign-up form in the cabinet it is an optional field, used only for contact about a disputed payment.
Do I need an email? The login is the account number, and a confirmed email is what opens the trial days. Until then the trial is 1 day. You can create an account in the cabinet without an email, but if you lose the number and the password it cannot be brought back.
A VPN for Android with no registration — how do I download it? The app installs from Google Play or as a file from our site, and downloading does not need our account. The account is created on the first screen after the install.
And on iPhone? We have no iPhone app yet: you connect with a subscription link from the cabinet in a third-party app, Happ or INCY. The real Happ is not in the Russian App Store, INCY is (checked on 22 September 2026). The same account is needed.
How do I choose a good VPN if I do not want to register? Ask what it lives on, what happens when you change phones, and who answers if a payment goes missing. Five questions before paying are here; how any trial works is in a separate article.
Can I delete my account? Yes, in the cabinet or by writing to support; the account, devices and subscription are deleted irreversibly (help).
