v2rayNG is a client for Android; Streisand and V2Box are for iPhone, iPad and Mac. They have no servers of their own: they need a subscription link from a provider. Below: where to get ours, which kind these apps need, and how to add it. A plain warning first: we have not tested Mayak with a live connection in any of these three apps. Everything below comes from our own code and from the apps’ own descriptions, as of 1 November 2026.
In short. On Android the main way is our own app: it needs no link, and we test its connection with a live tunnel. v2rayNG, Streisand and V2Box are a fallback: in your account, in the “Connecting by link” card, press “Add a device”, copy that device’s link and add it to the app as a subscription. The shared link will most likely not suit these apps: it expects the app to send a device identifier.
The link brings servers of one kind — VLESS with REALITY, one per country. AmneziaWG and the automatic path fallback of our app do not come through the link. Install the latest version of the app: old builds may fail to connect to our servers.
We make Mayak — a private network. Our own app is for Android; for other apps we provide a subscription link. This article is about three third-party clients; about us — one section. 3 days free, no card needed.
🍎 You are on iPhone: we have no iPhone app of our own yet; you connect with the subscription link from your account. Streisand and V2Box are not in the Russian App Store and need an Apple account of another country; with a Russian Apple account, Clash Mi and Shadowrocket are available (we have not tested them live with our link): where to tap on iPhone. How to get a device link — here.
What our link returns
A subscription link is an ordinary address that the app opens itself, and opens again every few hours to refresh the server list and the access end date. How a subscription differs from a single-line key is covered in the article on a subscription for Happ; here — only what matters for these three apps.
Our server looks at which app came for the subscription (by the first word of how it introduces itself) and answers in a suitable form. Clash-core apps get a whole profile, Happ gets a set of Xray settings, everyone else gets a list of vless:// links. All three apps in this article fall under “everyone else”:
| App | What it gets from our link | What is said about the app itself | Live with our link |
|---|---|---|---|
| v2rayNG (Android) | a list of vless:// links (VLESS + REALITY) | project README: “support Xray core and v2fly core”; version 2.3.14 of 28 October, release notes mention an Xray core update to 26.10.21 and subscription groups | not tested |
| Streisand (iPhone, iPad, Mac) | a list of vless:// links (VLESS + REALITY) | App Store page: “VLESS (Reality)” among the protocols; release notes “Updated core to v26.10.29” | not tested |
| V2Box (iPhone, iPad, Mac) | a list of vless:// links (VLESS + REALITY) | App Store page: “Support Reality (xray)”, “Support vless vision”; version 10.2.0 of 31 October | not tested |
“Not tested” means exactly that: we have not installed these apps or brought up a tunnel in them on our link. We know the format of the answer from our own code, and that the app understands it from its description. That is not the same as “it works”.
Which link to take in your account
In your account area there is a “Connecting by link” card with two parts.
- “Shared link” (“Show the link”) — for apps that report by themselves which device they run on. Every new device that opens this link takes a plan slot.
- “A device with its own link” (“Add a device”) — for apps that do not report this. You give the device a name and it gets its own link. It takes the same one plan slot.
For these three apps take the second. Why: by our reading of the source, v2rayNG does not send a device identifier at all, and for Streisand and V2Box there is no documentation, so we do not know whether they send one. A device link does not depend on that: it suits both kinds. If the app answers “add the device in your account” on the shared link, or does not load servers — this is exactly that case.
A link is like a password: anyone who has it can connect to your access. Do not forward it. If it ended up in the wrong hands, change it in the same account area, and the old one stops working at once.
v2rayNG on Android
Do you need it. On Android Mayak has its own app that connects by itself, with no link: Mayak on Google Play or as a file from the home page. v2rayNG makes sense if you already have it installed or need that one specifically.
Where to download. A file from the developer’s releases page (the 2dust/v2rayNG project on GitHub). Take the latest version: the 2.3.14 notes mention an Xray core update, and old builds may fail to connect to our servers.
How to add. The order follows guides to the app, not our own test:
- In your account: “Connecting by link” → “Add a device” → a name → “Add” → “Copy”.
- In v2rayNG open the side menu → subscription group settings (“Subscription group setting”) → add (the “+” icon) → enter a name such as “Mayak” and paste the link into the address field.
- Go back to the main screen and update the subscription (the “⋮” menu → “Update subscription”). The server list should load: each server has a flag and a country name.
- Pick a server, press the connect button and allow the app to create a VPN connection. Check the address on our page — the country should change to the server’s country.
The latest v2rayNG versions have a redesigned interface, and item names may differ from those described. If an item is missing, look for “subscriptions” in the menu. The access end date from our link was not shown by older v2rayNG versions, by our reading; the 2.3.14 notes add a block with an end date, and we have not checked whether it shows ours.
Streisand and V2Box on iPhone, iPad and Mac
Where to download. Both are in the App Store. By Apple’s catalogue on 1 November 2026, neither is in the Russian storefront and both are in the US one, so they install with an Apple account of another country:
- Streisand on the App Store — publisher on the page: ARCADIA ODYSSEY INC., free;
- V2Box on the App Store — publisher on the page: techlaim, free.
Check the publisher against the page. For popular names the App Store holds look-alike apps from other authors (what that looks like), and a subscription link is like a password: never paste it into an unfamiliar app. With a Russian Apple account it is simpler to use apps that are in the Russian store; the list is on “Where to tap on iPhone”.
How to add. We have not checked the button names in these two apps, so the order is general:
- In your account get a device link (as above) and copy it.
- In the app find adding a subscription by link. According to a third-party guide, in Streisand this is import from the clipboard; V2Box collects subscriptions into groups, but we have not confirmed the tab name.
- Wait for the server list to load, pick a server and switch on. The iPhone will ask for permission to add a VPN configuration — that is the usual order for any such app.
- Check the address: the country should change.
On Mac, per the App Store pages, both install on computers with an Apple chip (Streisand: M1 or later; V2Box lists macOS 12.0 or later). We have not tested them on Mac either.
Won’t connect: what to check
- Open the link in your phone’s browser. The page names the reason in words: access ended, the link was changed, no plan chosen. It does not take a plan slot (table of refusals).
- Servers did not load. If you took the shared link — take a device link. If you changed the link in your account — delete the old one in the app and add the new one.
- Servers are there, no connection. Update the app to the latest version: our servers are updated, and old app releases no longer connect to them. Then refresh the subscription, try another server, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data (five minutes, step by step).
- All plan slots are taken. Every device takes a slot, like a phone with our app. Remove extras in your account.
Mayak in these apps
- On Android the main way is our own app. We test it with a live tunnel; it needs no link. Third-party clients are a fallback, not a replacement.
- One way to connect. The link brings one kind — VLESS with REALITY, straight to the country’s server. The fallback paths our app switches on by itself are not in third-party clients (what VLESS is).
- We have no iPhone app of our own yet, and we give no dates. Of the clients tested live on iPhone: Happ and INCY (about INCY).
- Trial — 3 days, no card. After that, a plan: “Start” up to 3 devices, “Family” up to 5, “Max” up to 10 (what it costs).
- What we don’t promise. That it “always works”: your network is your own. In the allow-list mode on mobile internet Mayak will not connect — neither with the app nor by link (what that mode is).
Try it on your own device. Create an account, open “Connecting by link” in your account and add a device. We ask for no payment details for the trial. 3 days free after you sign up with your email. Whether it worked or not — tell us: that is how this article gets more accurate.
What we checked
- What the link returns and to whom — from the code of our subscription server, 1 November 2026: the format is chosen by the app’s name; v2rayNG, Streisand and V2Box do not fall under the Clash or Happ profiles and get a list of
vless://links. The list contains only VLESS-with-REALITY servers. - That the shared link requires a device identifier and a device link does not — from the same code.
- The apps’ pages — Apple’s catalogue (Russian and US storefronts) and the App Store pages, the v2rayNG project page and its releases on GitHub, 1 November 2026: publishers, versions, protocol lists, release notes.
- Where the link is in your account — button names are taken from the account screen.
What we don’t know
- Whether Mayak connects in v2rayNG, Streisand and V2Box. We have not tested any of the three live. If it does not work, write to us the app, its version, your operator and what the app showed.
- Whether the cores of their current versions pass our servers’ check. The servers need a modern handshake from the client, and some older builds do not send it. We have not run these apps against them.
- Whether Streisand and V2Box send a device identifier. There is no documentation. That is why we recommend a device link.
- What the buttons in Streisand and V2Box are called and how v2rayNG looks in your version: interfaces change.
- Which core Streisand uses. Its release notes say “core v26.10.29” without a name.
- Whether the apps stay in the stores and whether they appear in the Russian App Store. We do not know and do not guess.
Short answers
Does a Mayak link work in v2rayNG? The format of the answer suits it, and the Xray core it is built on supports VLESS with REALITY. We have not tested it with a live connection, so we do not say “it works”.
Which link to take — shared or device? For these apps, a device link: the “Connecting by link” card → “Add a device”. Details.
Does a device link take an extra slot? One plan slot, like any phone with our app. Opening the link in a browser takes none.
Do I need these apps on Android? No, if ours suits you: it connects without a link and tries paths by itself.
Where to download Streisand and V2Box? In the App Store; by Apple’s catalogue on 1 November 2026 they are not in the Russian storefront, so you need an Apple account of another country. Links and what to check.
